I'm sure rejections work together to make sure they get sent at the same time. It's always a good idea to check up on submissions you've not heard anything from to find out if your submission has got lost in the spam. I have had two pieces out since March and decided to check up on them, one I've still not heard anything back from but the second one I got a rejection for. Also I had a short fiction piece rejected but with suggestions to make it better.
Still I've got work to concentrate one so I'm just working on that now. The piece of work I'm currently on is meant to have a top word count of 18K but I get the feeling that it's going to be much longer *sigh* still I'll end up with a story even if it's not for the same market I was hoping it would be for.
Anyway back to writing!

I know they say that rejections toughin' our skin, but at my age, my skin is quite tough. LOL.
But rejections also mean that you're submitting, which is something I need to start doing again. Ack - too many things.
Hi Nicole
Sorry about the rejections. I've had loads in my time, and they don't get any easier... but as Ciara says, at least you're submitting work and as they say about the Lottery, you've got to be in it to win it!
Anyway, I'm really hear to wish you good luck and happy writing in the new Sweat70 Challenge. 750 words a day is such an achievable goal, even for a slacker like me, and I'm sure we'll both do well!
All the best

Ack that would be 'here' not 'hear'...
proofreading skills not yet turned on today. LOL
Thanks both of you!
To be honest I don't mind the rejections that much - I mean yes they sting a little to begin with but once I've had a cup of tea/chocolate I just look for the next potential home for the piece.
I enjoy writing in fact I get wound up when I'm not giving a voice to the characters that appear in my head. As with all things I guess you have to take the downs with the ups (although you don't have to like it :) )
I hope you are both well, and good luck Portia with the 70 Days it's so great your a sponsor this time around!
