Eyes
I've not written much over the past few days as my eyes have been pretty bad. The computer monitors I've spent so long looking at have caused them to go all blood shot and icky. so I'm now resorting to hand written work. Also we've been having snow fall outside so I've been a little distracted with that.

Progress
So I thought I would put up the progress that I'm making (or not as the case may be) on the stories I'm presently working upon. That way people will be able to see how much I'm writing but also it will give me an incentive for writing some more so I can update it all.
First of we have my BDSM novel I started writing this today and although I've got it more planned out then written I have presently written:

Then I have my first person story which I'm really enjoying writing at least so far!

And finally my Gothic romance which I've been working upon the most:

So I'm getting into them slowly although one look at my planner suggests that I've got a lot more work to do!

Gothic Erotic Romance
I've started to write a gothic romance erotic piece, which I'm quite excited about. I've done just under 1,000 words so far on it and I've got a sort of plot sorted out. The way I tend to let the story dictate itself when I'm writing, I start of with a beginning and an idea and let it wander and find its own conclusion.
Whilst i'm having a break from writing that one i'm now about to start a lesbian love story which I've deicided to write in the first person. I know first person perspectives are harder to write but I want to try it out.

Opening of eyes
I've spent the past few days not writing, well no that's not quite true I've actually been writing but not anything story wise that will be useful. I've also been spending a lot of my time wandering the net and finding places that accept submissions, as I've been searching I've found a lot more then I figured I would find.
So now I'm pondering on which ones to go for, and which ones would be interesting to write but not possibly for deadlines (again I'm getting ideas from all over the place). I think I'm going to sort them all out add them to my lovely wall chart (which is getting so full!) and then go from there.
Then of course I've got to get the time to write the work, but I tend to write at least 1000 words on a piece a day plus any extras on others so I will have some parts done soon, and will be able to expand on other ideas.

Fleshing out ideas
So I've spent the last few hours fleshing out ideas on two stories, and now I feel slightly torn the idea was to flesh them out work out which one I felt had the most potential and then write that one. I've got two months before the deadline but I wanted to really work at the story and not be switching between the two and other projects, but now I can't decide! I sometimes get the feeling that I have too many ideas and not enough time, and I'm still sat here contemplating various other genres of writing I want to try and do (as well as the erotica, BDSM, fantasy I also write sci-fi). I really need to learn how to prioritise and see one project through before starting others. Although saying that I sometimes find it useful to switch between projects as I have a very short attention span when it comes to some things and being able to take a fresh look on things I find can improve the plot.
Anyway enough of me rambling.. maybe if I write a bit of both then whichever one I feel is flowing best I'll continue and the other I'll shelve.
To do lists and WIPS
Now because I keep misplacing my to do lists I thought I would post it up here so I can see what I have to do and also what things are in the pipeline. Plus you the readers can also read and see.
To Do:
- Femdom switch that I've got a small inkling of an idea for
- My anthology (details to be posted up at a different date)
- A period BDSM story (as well as the one I'm presently working on)
- Various f/f stories (there are so many of these that I've got planned it would be silly posting a list of them for the moment)
- A story to do with snow (possibly another BDSM one I'm not sure)
- Fantasy story (eek I've not even thought about this one and I'm meant to be sending it in May)
- Museum piece (a weird mix between historical and erotica this one i'm kind of excited about it but its going to take some working out)
- Vampire story (based on a dream I once had)
- Pirate story (again for the same reason)
That's all the to do's I can think of for now, although I've probably missed lots
WIPS (works in progress)
- BDSM m/f/f story
- Vampire story (I'm going to have to rewrite I think because the file became corrupt)
- Murder Mystery - although I think I'm shelving this one for a while it doesn't seem to be going anywhere
- Wedding story (I started this one for a EC submission but shelved it although it does have potential)
Out of those there's a mix of vanilla stories and erotica and BDSM stories and I love everyone (well I should do I'm writing them!), anyway they are written down now so I won't misplace the list anymore.
Writing and Ideas
Ideas for my writing come from many different places, today I've been looking through one of my tarot books and have come up with many different plot lines all of which I would like to pursue. I think I will sit down and plot them all out then work out which ones I will be able to have the most fun with.
I don't write well when I'm not enjoying the subject/general storyline I don't know what its like for most people but I find that if I'm passionate about something I get it done quicker and to a higher standard then when I'm not enjoying it. Don't get me wrong I do write about things in my stories that I wouldn't personally enjoy but if I like the characters (even the villainous ones) I find the writing flows better and I'm not stuck staring at the screen for ages waiting for inspiration.
I must get into the habit of taking a pen and paper around with me always because I'm sure I forget a lot of pieces and ideas that I have during the day. Plus you never do know where inspiration will pop up.
